Competing for a coveted spot on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is a grueling process. Kick lines, backstories, dance solos…it's no surprise that a new Netflix series this summer will feature the audition process.
Women in the United States and around the world are looking for an edge that sets them apart. In her exclusive interview with director Kelly Finglas a few years ago, she revealed her best advice for aspiring dancers.
“Prepare by taking every dance class you can, not just the dance forms, but of course,” Finglas said in an exclusive interview with Cowboys SI's Bri Amaranthus. “Practice with other auditions and dance competitions. Shoot videos yourself. There's a lot of information online now. There's no secret about who makes the team and who doesn't. Prepare in every way. please.”
This summer, DCC fans can enjoy America's Sweetheart: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, a seven-episode series from Emmy Award-winning director Greg Whiteley and the teams behind Cheer and Last Chance U. You can enjoy it.
This series will track the entire DCC team for the 2023-24 season. The show begins with auditions to see who will make the team, continues through training camp, and throughout the NFL season. The show promises to tell the personal stories behind the uniforms, revealing the drive, dynamics, and drama between cheerleaders and coaches.
