A $27 million property in Preston Hollow, featuring a two-hole regulation golf course with sand traps and water features, was one of the most expensive homes to hit the Texas housing market last month.
Five of the most expensive homes listed in Texas last month were in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, according to data from the Houston Association of Realtors. The association uses information from local property information services across the state, including North Texas Real Estate Information Systems.
The data was compiled by the end of the month, so homes listed in late February may be included in the March rankings.
The property, located at 10540 Lenox Lane, is a three-story home with six bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, an elevator, an expansive wine cellar, and a catering kitchen. The 17,201-square-foot property also includes three game rooms, two offices, a sunroom, a golf simulator, and a two-bedroom apartment. There are eight full bathrooms and four half bathrooms on site.
In addition to the golf course, on-site outdoor attractions include a fire pit, pool, spa, and large cabana with full bath. The house has two ponds and private well water.
The home is being sold by Dallas real estate firm Allie Beth Allman & Associates. It was the third most expensive home listed in Texas last month.
Dallas Central Appraisal Office records list Michael Scott Anderson as the current owner. The lawyer's properties were previously featured in D Magazine's “Most Expensive Homes.”
Other D-FW homes on February's list include:
