Audio story podcasts are nothing new and have been around for quite some time, popularized by absolute legends such as: Welcome to Night Vale and amelia project It's been around for years.
As time goes on, the bar for production quality for these types of podcasts becomes higher and higher, and many people may actually be missing out on some of the best fiction. Personally, I rarely have music playing in my car because I'm so engrossed in these great stories.
