With $45 million in new funding, a locally-based waste management company is doubling its footprint in North Texas.
CheckSammy, a fast-growing company with more than 52,000 employees worldwide, will add 22,549 square feet to its existing rental property at The Madison in Addison. The addition will expand the company's leasable area to 45,098 square feet and accommodate up to 250 employees.
Check Sammy also extended its lease as part of the transaction for the Class A building at 15851 North Dallas Parkway.
Travis Booth, Hannah Henry and Robbie Beatty of Cushman & Wakefield represented the company in lease negotiations. Michael Foster and Chris Andler served as in-house agents for the property owner, Irving-based Property Advisers Realty.
CheckSammy CEO and co-founder Sam Scotten cited the building's location and recent upgrades as key reasons for the facility's growth and lease extension.
“We look forward to continuing our trajectory here and building a workplace that is a catalyst for growth, collaboration, and innovation,” Scotten said in a statement.
Check Sammy moved to The Madison in 2022, tearing down the entire floor of its original lease.
CheckSammy is a sustainability provider of on-demand, same-day bulk waste treatment for property owners and occupiers. Last week, the company announced a $45 million investment led by I Squared Capital and previous investor Zero Infinity Partners.
“CheckSammy has quickly established itself as the leading provider of bulk junk removal services in North America,” Kevin Krull, partner at I Squared Capital, said in a statement. “The company provides an essential service to its business customers while delivering tangible sustainability benefits, primarily in the form of landfill diversion.”
The funding will also support the launch of CheckSammy's sustainability software platform.
