FRISCO, TEXAS — The Dallas Cowboys will travel to Washington next Sunday afternoon to take on the Commanders in their final regular season game with a 3:25pm CT/4:25pm ET kickoff at FedEx Field. The league made the announcement late Sunday night.
Now that the Cowboys know when the regular season will end, the entire league schedule for the final weekend of the regular season was released after all games in Week 17 of the second consecutive season.
The Cowboys need a victory over the Commanders to clinch the 22nd NFC East championship in franchise history. However, even if Philadelphia loses, they can steal the division with a win against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. The Eagles and Giants will also play in the 3:25 PM CT/4:25 PM ET window, as their games will be played at the same time.
Last season, the Cowboys entered Week 18 with a chance to win the division, but stumbled in a 26-6 loss to Washington in one of the ugliest performances under head coach Mike McCarthy. . This time, fate is at stake as the Cowboys return to the nation's capital to secure the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs and guaranteed home games in both the Wild Card and Divisional rounds.
