“It's amazing,” quarterback Dak Prescott said. “That's CeeDee Lamb. It's a great opportunity for him tonight to play the game he had — which he knew was coming in this game with records on the line — and I think you guys can teach him. “I didn't know that until he told me,'' but he assured me that he would figure it out.Yards After the Catch, Yards Open After 2.3 [seconds], breaking man coverage, getting into the right spots in the zone, he can do it all. ”
Lamb also had a career-high 13 yards receiving that night, giving him 227 receiving yards and a touchdown.
“He continues to get better, wants to get better and is hungry for the ball,” Prescott added. “He's one of the hungriest minds I've ever seen in this game of football. … He makes my job easy. He's special and really pushes forward. As long as I'm here, I can say he's going to keep going. He's going to continue to add records every year.
“This is just the beginning.”
This is Mount Rushmore with the Lamb's face etched twice.

His rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns are career highs. in all four categories (his catch rate was 72.2%).
“I told you it would be more fun if you won,” Lamb said. “…It's a surreal moment for me. Shout out to my guys. We keep working, we keep building, we keep growing. I couldn't do any of this without them. “We're looking forward to continuing to do that.” ”
That wasn't all Lamb did Saturday, he also surpassed Irvin's record for most receiving yards in Cowboys history. The previous record was 1,603 yards, set by Irvin in 1995, which broke Irvin's own record of 1,523 yards, set in 1991.
Here's how that category is currently structured: By the way, this man named Irvin was special in a way.
- Cedee Lamb – 1,671 (2023)*
- michael irvin – 1,603 (1995)
- michael irvin – 1,523 (1991)
- michael irvin – 1,396 (1992)
Earlier this season, he became the first player in NFL history to record at least 10 receptions and 150 receiving yards in three consecutive games, and on November 17, his glove and game towel were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
“Oh, what’s not? [impress me about Lamb]asked wideout Brandin Cooks. “To be so young and play at such a high level and break such franchise records…” [and considering] Some of the players who played here. This guy is powerful and he improves our offense whenever he has the ball. He loves growing up.
“My challenge for him is to continue that for the rest of the regular season and the postseason.”
Lamb enters the 2023 season with a shoulder injury and is determined to prove that he is not only the definitive WR1 for the Cowboys, but one of the top wideouts in the league.
“I'll be there,” he said in September. “I'll show you.”
Needless to say, he did just that. With the Cowboys clinching a playoff berth and one game left in the regular season, he will have plenty of opportunities to continue to put on the show he promised and then delivered.
