Fiber broadband giant Frontier Communications has announced that it will move its headquarters from Norwalk, Connecticut to Dallas.

Dallas is now the home of Building Gigabit America,” Frontier CEO Nick Jeffrey said in a statement. “Relocating our headquarters to Dallas makes business sense given that Dallas is already home to hundreds of employees and is centrally located in one of our most important textile markets. With a booming economy and a large, diverse workforce, Dallas is quickly becoming one of the nation's top business cities, and we're proud to be a part of it.”
The move establishes Frontier as one of the largest publicly traded companies based in the Dallas market.
Frontier, which provides high-speed fiber broadband to millions of customers across the U.S., said it chose Dallas for its new headquarters because it is central to its national footprint and a business-friendly city. Ta.
The company joins Dallas-based AT&T and Verizon, which is expanding its presence in North Texas, as the region's leading carriers.
Frontier said the move is expected to boost Dallas and Texas' economy by $3.8 billion and secure more than 3,000 jobs in the Dallas area over the next 10 years.
Frontier's “GigaHub” arrives in Uptown Dallas
Frontier announced it will invest in 95,000 square feet of new office space in Uptown Dallas, which the company calls the “Gigahub,” as part of its headquarters relocation.

Spending “approximately $1 million per week” to upgrade network in Dallas area
Frontier plans to continue spending approximately $1 million each week on upgrades and improvements to its fiber-optic network in the Dallas metropolitan area. The report said the economic benefits of deploying fiber include increasing home values and attracting new business, particularly in high-tech industries.
After relocating its headquarters to Dallas, Frontier said it will continue to maintain a strong presence in Connecticut, where it has a long history and a large and growing customer base.
