Sachet's elegant, plant-based Mediterranean cuisine starts with the perfect ingredients and is served in small portions that leave you wanting more. Each visit allows you to focus on a different aspect of this restaurant. Come once and try Sachet's seasonal homemade pasta. Sachet is one of the best pasta places in Dallas. Then come back to try his half-dozen varieties of vegetarian pasta. Look out for a new lineup of mezze, or swordfish kebabs and grilled octopus. Menu influences range from Spanish Iberico ham to Turkish-style lamb, with a detour to Tunisian donuts at the end, but pastas like green tortiglioni and lobster spaghetti might be the best.
Top recommendation: Savor mezes like muhammara, a smoky pepper dip topped with a scoop of lentils, and roasted carrots with spices and labneh. Don't be afraid to pay for fresh pita bread. This is worth asking for sparingly.
Fun fact: In addition to a full menu of various gin and tonics, Sachet boasts one of the best wine programs in Dallas. The wine list features natural, biodynamic and organic bottlings and includes wines from Spain, Morocco, France, Italy, Greece, Slovenia, Turkey, Lebanon, Albania, Israel and Texas. Feeling a little lost? All the staff seem to talk about their favorites with genuine enthusiasm.
