Ronan Dunn was crowned WynTV's Privateer of the Day in Leogang in July 2021, marking his first top 30 appearance. He then improved his performance at Les Gets, breaking into the top 20 for the first time in 17th place. At that point, just three years ago, he was funding his season of racing and had to pay for his bike as well.
The Irishman has quickly made a name for himself, rising from a top-30 contender to a podium finish at last fall's West Virginia Snowshoe Championships with second place. The 21-year-old Irish rider has now signed with Mondraker Factory Racing, creating a dream race setup alongside his teammates Ryan Pinkerton and Dakota Norton.
We hear about his contract with one of his dream brands, how he kept his scaphoid fracture a secret until he signed a 2024 contract on the dotted line, and riding a bike with telemetry for the first time. We talk about what it was like and how many Red Bulls there were. He drinks on race day, he's friends with Jackson Goldstone, he acts when his competitors start complaining, etc.
