DALLAS — Runners take to the streets of downtown Dallas this weekend for the annual BMW Dallas Marathon.
The BMW Dallas Marathon is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting health and fitness. Founded in 1971, the event has become Dallas' largest and Texas' longest running marathon. The marathon will be held from December 8th to 10th, and road closures have already begun.
Roads will be closed until December 12th in preparation for the event.

Beneficiary
According to the event's website, the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival has donated more than $4 million to Rite for Children in Scotland since designating its primary beneficiary in 1997.
