The 2024 total solar eclipse is expected to draw thousands of people to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for prime viewing spots. This rare celestial event will occur on April 8th, and several eclipse viewing parties are already planned. Check back to this list for additional information as more events are announced. North America's Great Solar Eclipse at the Perot Museum
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science has partnered with the Carnegie Institution for Science to offer a fun and safe day of solar eclipse viewing. The event will feature more than 20 of his astronomers, STEM activities, games, live music, and more. We will provide you with Eclipse glasses. Guests can explore the museum's exhibits, purchase food from food trucks, or bring a picnic.

Total Solar Eclipse, Frisco Park Party

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
Solar eclipse and space science activities will be held at the museum. The Noble Planetarium show is included in your admission price. Purchase your ticket and Eclipse safety glasses in advance. Tickets are expected to go on sale in the coming weeks. Please visit our website for more information.

dallas arboretum
Former NASA astronaut Alvin Drew will be one of the special guests at this solar eclipse experience hosted by the Dallas Arboretum with partners including International Space Station National Laboratory, Big Kid Science, and the University of North Texas. . You can add eclipse viewing glasses and a commemorative poster to your ticket order.

Totality Dallas at Samuel Farm
This family-friendly solar eclipse party is held at Samuel Farm, a 609-acre park operated by the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department. Overnight camping will be offered, and a pre-party is scheduled for April 7th. Tickets will go on sale in March.

free A family-friendly viewing party at the Museum of Flight at Love Field Airport will feature games, the science of space activities, food trucks, concessions and more.

Great North American Eclipse at Klyde Warren Park
free The Deck Park event in downtown Dallas features many family-friendly activities, including eclipse insights from a panel of astronomers from the Carnegie Institution for Science, an interactive tech track from the Perot Museum, and free eclipse viewing glasses. There will be live music by the Central Standard Band on the outdoor stage.
