TULSA, Okla. — Three Tulsa real estate agents are bringing Tulsa to the national spotlight with a reality show about first-time homebuyers streaming on Hulu.
This program was a big secret and finished filming in September. The title of this show is “First-Time Buyer.” By the National Association of REALTORS®.
“The experience was amazing. I mean, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Cindy Morrison of Chinous & Cohen.
The purpose of this show is to show people what real estate agents do every day and the challenges they face when buying a home for the first time.
“You only get one chance to buy your first home, so I help them and help them as part of their education and make sure it's a good first experience so they want to buy more homes later on. I want to support them,” he said. Morrison.
former tulsa news Reporter Cindy Morrison and Tulsa resident Nicole Hopkins really show some of the conflict in episode five. Difficulties many Tulsans face when purchasing a home in the past few years.
“That was a time when you were getting multiple offers, which can be very frustrating for first-time homebuyers. We certainly don't want people to overpay,'' Mr Morrison said.
They lost 10 contracts but eventually won their first contract. Morrison says what he hopes prospective buyers take away from the show is the work real estate agents do to make homebuying dreams a reality.
“We really love helping them make their dreams come true. Whether it's their first home or their 10th home, we get to take it home. That never gets old,” Morrison he said.
Another bonus, Morrison said, is putting on a show that will make Tulsa proud.
“They chose Oklahoma. We have four agents, three in Tulsa and one in OKC. We're excited to show off the fast states, especially Tulsa. It's really the crown jewel of Oklahoma,” Morrison said. said.
For first-time homebuyers, Cindy says now is the time to start looking to see if homeownership is something you're interested in. She says inventory is currently low and prices are high.
He said he expects interest rates to fall this year and shift to a buyer's market.
