The long-awaited bar, created by Tiny Victories' Ryan Payne, Black Swan's Gabe Sanchez, and Midnight Rambler in the Jules, quietly opened just before Thanksgiving. It's the exact day the owner promised to go to Eater Dallas when we spoke earlier this month. St. Valentine's Bar is sliding into the space that used to be Round Top (yes, the roast beef restaurant near Jimmy's Food Store) after spending months transforming the space into the cool hangout of their dreams. is.
“Ryan and I have been friends for years,” Sanchez says. “We used to bartend together, play golf together, and talk about it…[decided] To partner with us and do more fun and creative things. ” The cocktail program is a must-see for those who already know their work. The bar serves natural wines, which Sanchez attributes to the influence of Fond's Jenny Kelly, and locally brewed beers, as well as a selection of traditional beers. And the bar menu is full of “not-so-fancy” snacks. Sanchez asked us not to ridicule the use of canned fish, so I'll just point out that Eater thinks it's right not to treat it like a luxury item.Currently open Wednesday through Monday from 5pm to 2am
