Logan's podcast also topped Spotify's 2023 podcast list for the fourth year in a row.
Why it's important: Rogan is one of the world's leading podcast hosts, but he has been at the center of controversy over various issues in recent years.
This included hosting Alex Jones and Abigail Schrier, which sparked dissatisfaction among Spotify employees over the latter's stance on transgender issues. In another case, Rogan hosted a guest with controversial views regarding COVID-19.
Rogan will also have 113 podcast episodes removed from Spotify in 2022 after apologizing for using the “N-word.”
Logan appears to have overcome these hurdles, with his podcast returning to Apple's platform and signing a multi-year deal with Spotify. He even expressed excitement for “much wider distribution” thanks to these developments.
