“We urge you to play a vital role in shaping this ecosystem,” she said.
Intentional gatherings such as iC3 and other networking events further the organization's goal of helping establish North Texas as a major player in the global bioscience industry.
This year's summit will cover cell and gene therapy, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, AI in biopharmaceuticals, resources for startups, regulatory issues, technology transfer, and more. There will also be a reception featuring eight rising stars in North Texas' bioscience field to showcase technology from regional research institutions and network.
BioNTX recognizes emerging life science innovators in North Texas
As part of the iC3 Summit, BioNTX will recognize exemplary early stage companies as Rising Stars. These companies have been nominated by the community as outstanding companies with high growth potential. This year's winners are:
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the iC3 Tech Transfer Showcase,” said Chad Ronholdt, managing director of NVB Ventures and chair of the iC3 Tech Transfer Showcase. “The Rising Stars program is critical to the future success of life sciences in North Texas because it fosters the ecosystem in which we work. Investors are taking note of the vibrant projects.” As the company is being formed, we will see that today's research becomes the standard of care for the future. ”
growing influence
The North Texas nonprofit currently has more than 1,000 members across the state and nation. Its programs foster startups, connect researchers to resources, and ensure a pipeline of talent in the region.

Helping develop tomorrow's workforce today
In June, BioNTX announced the launch of the North Texas Biotechnology and Healthcare Industry Alliance (BHIANT) in collaboration with the University of Dallas, the DFW Hospital Council Foundation, and the Swiss American CDMO.
This collaboration brings together biotechnology, biomanufacturing, hospital, and healthcare employers to advance industry-led workforce development. This partnership was created to ensure North Texas businesses have access to a diverse and skilled workforce. At the same time, a path to high-quality work and upward mobility in biotechnology.
This unique partnership is the result of a U.S. Economic Development Administration jobs grant and was announced at the Swiss-American CDMO facility in Carrollton.
Komel Glover, president and CEO of Swiss American, praised the collaboration between the industry's diverse stakeholders. “We have been in the DFW region for more than 30 years, and collaboration among industry associations, advocacy, university systems, health care institutions, and companies working on biotechnology, especially in North Texas, has been a long-standing vision of our company. This is an exciting opportunity to evolve our life sciences ecosystem. ”
Aaron BenComo, director of business and industry at BioNTX, emphasized the need to create both entry-level and long-term career paths in the industry.
Industry-led partnerships will help develop pathways to ensure equity and diversity in the life sciences and biotechnology manufacturing industry. As the industry scales and grows, new jobs will follow. ,” CEO Otto said at the time.
North Texas in bid to become national ARPA-H hub
In May, BioNTX announced partnerships with three major Texas cities: Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. What are their collective ambitions? Securing Texas as one of three national program centers for the Pioneering Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). This $2.5 billion initiative aims to revolutionize medical research and develop breakthrough treatments for disease.
If this pursuit is successful, the CXARPA-H hub will be located at Pegasus Park in Dallas, Texas. This will be his first of three pioneering national locations dedicated to his ARPA-H core vision of delivering superior health outcomes for all.
