FRISCO, TEXAS — The Dallas Cowboys will host the Green Bay Packers at AT&T Stadium next Sunday afternoon on FOX, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. PT.
The Cowboys won 38-10 against the Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon, clinching the No. 2 seed and the NFC East title and increasing their chances of making a two-game home playoff berth with a win over the Packers.
The Packers defeated the Chicago Bears 17-9 on Sunday afternoon, clinching a playoff berth and the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoffs, and will enter the playoffs with first-year starter quarterback Jordan Love.
This game will be Mike McCarthy's second game against the Packers since coming to Dallas in 2020. McCarthy has been Green Bay's head coach for 13 seasons and has a 7-1 record against the Cowboys, including two playoff wins in 2014 and 2016.
“They had a good year,” McCarthy said of the Packers after Sunday's game. “It's a show that I'm sure you'll love, but I won't be in it this year. It's playoff time. It doesn't matter who I play.”
Sunday will be the Cowboys' first home playoff game since losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the wild card round of the 2021-2022 playoffs. Under McCarthy, the Cowboys are 1-2 in the playoffs.
The remainder of the NFC playoff schedule will see the 6th seed Los Angeles Rams visit the 3rd seed Detroit Lions and the 5th seed Philadelphia Eagles take on the 4th seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If the Cowboys beat the Packers, they would host the highest remaining seed in the divisional round, while the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers would host the lowest remaining seed.
The second-seeded Cowboys would need a loss to the 49ers in the divisional round to make the NFC Championship Game. If they do, it will be Dallas' first NFC Championship Game since 1995, when they last won the Super Bowl.
