The Dallas Mavericks played an ugly game, but won anyway.Talk about it for Pod Maverick
After the Dallas Mavericks rallied late in the fourth quarter to beat the Washington Wizards 112-104, Josh Bowe and I each stood behind the microphones to talk about the game.
The Mavericks lost energy in this game and spent the entire contest trying to find something to get them through the hump. During his first 10 minutes of the show, Josh and I brainstorm what worked and what didn't. Dallas failed to execute its defensive principles for 42 of the 48 minutes of the game.

After a short break, we'll break down the games of Daniel Gafford and just about every other Maverick who played significant minutes. It was a back-and-forth game at best for PJ Washington, but he made a big comeback in the fourth. Tim Hardaway has too much room to shoot. Josh Green continues to play strong and Jaden Hardy finally looks like an NBA role player.
We dip in and out of all the buzz about Jason Kidd not coaching, and you know we want to, but it leads us down a winding path that leads nowhere. The fourth quarter was especially fun as the Mavericks showed real effort for the first time in the game.
It ends with a Spencer Dinwiddie style rant, which was a lot of fun.
