Former NFL offensive lineman Antonio “Tony” Hutson died. He was 49 years old.
News of Hutson's death was shared through an obituary. legacy.com, published Friday. The official date and cause of death have not been disclosed.
According to the website, the former professional athlete's wake will be held on February 16th, and his funeral will be held the following day. Both memorial events will be held in his home state of Arkansas.
Ms. Hutson is remembered by friends and family on the site, who have reflected on her memory and shared photos in a virtual guestbook.
“Tony was so humble, had such a kind heart and such a beautiful soul. Tony loved his family with all his heart. My cousin Tony will be sorely missed!! I will cherish you and keep you in my heart forever. I will miss our meeting and I will never forget that smile! I love you, cousin, back-back…” Cousin said wrote.
Hutson also remembered former Dallas Cowboys rookie Randall Godfrey.
“Last night we lost one of my favorite teammates and great friends in Tony Hutson,” the now-deleted post read. people. “Please keep the Hutson family in your prayers. Hutson was born on March 13, 1974 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Before he entered the NFL, Hutson attended Kilgore College and Northeastern University.He attended Oklahoma State University. In 1996, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. However, his NFL career was put on hold after a benign tumor was discovered. In 1997, he was promoted to the team's roster.
After being cut by the Cowboys in 2000, he signed with the Washington Commanders (then known as the Washington Redskins) and played until the end of the season. Hutson finished his NFL career in 2021 after playing for the Oakland Raiders.
