A Dallas Mavericks fan named Luke Browner mentioned his viral incident with Kevin Durant.
Security was going to kick them out before Durant came back and said they could stay here.
“I don't want to justify what was said,” Browner said on “The Ben and Skin Show” on 97.1-FM KEGL The Freak. “But I would like to provide some context.”
Browner went on to say that he went to the game with the woman in honor of his best friend and the woman's brother, Nathan, who passed away several years ago.
Browner went on to explain that Nathan runs a sports podcast that he posts frequently, and whenever someone mentioned Durant, Nathan would respond, “KD kind of sucks.”
It was because he was upset when Durant joined the Golden State Warriors.
Browner said Nathan said this line so often that it became his catchphrase, and that women would shout it in memory of his late brother.
“It was just a joke to us, but we forget the humanity of the person on the other end of the joke,” Browner said.
“I'm used to seeing this person on a highlight reel. I'm used to seeing this person's face, and I can yell at the TV all day long, but I don't see the humanity in that person.” When you take away the , you forget that your words still really matter.”

“To all my dear friends and acquaintances, present and past, rest assured, I watched the video,” Browner said in another Instagram post. There is no need to send it.
“Yes, it was me. No, I didn't say that. Yes, there was more to the story. No, KD wasn't whining. He dealt with it civilly.”
