All seven members of CDR's second group come together for the first time.

The second group of CDRs has assembled for the first time and is ready to get to work.

An innovative approach to meeting the continuing need for affordable housing in Dallas is paying off. Innovan Neighborhoods launches Community Developer Roundtable in September 2022. The two-year pilot aims to create more affordable housing options through both ownership and rental, as well as address gaps in the community development ecosystem with long-term developers. led structure.

During the nine-month program, the initial CDR cohort of 15 people added 112 residential units and six commercial projects to the pipeline. They also went on a 10-location project tour and learned from 38 guest speakers. The developers will leave a mark on the Dallas community development market through the Catalyst project, taking leadership positions and continuing to engage with the second group. New members will meet monthly through June 2024 for eight sessions and two networking events. Their collective experience includes the development or renovation of more than 140 units throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, with another 50 under construction or in the pipeline.

Kwame Ellis
