Being a black horror fan is hard. Watching some filmmakers refuse to let go of problematic tropes, hearing the anti-Black language some horror fans say when they voice their concerns, and hearing the anti-Black language that exists in this field Not easy for most days. But many of us know that there should be room for acceptance for people like us. We strongly believe that simply watching a movie is not enough. We started a show discussing this genre that we love.
One of my favorite things about co-hosting Black Horror Indie is; podcast is another podcast we bonded with along the way. I've compiled a list of Black-owned horror shows that aren't affiliated with a network and need your support. Most of us rely on word of mouth to grow our fan base. Therefore, likes, follows and ratings help us make our presence known to other potential listeners. It also helps drown out those who don't want to make space for us in this media.
Each show released at least one episode within the past year. Currently, they are all independent companies with no network or financial support. These are gifts of love and I am so grateful for each one of them. These podcasts feature a lot of cool, funny, and smart horror fans, and I think you'll love them as much as I do. Check out this list and see if you can find your next favorite podcast.

Although this show is about writing and the lives of writers, both of them are well-known horror writers and usually interview friends who work in the same genre. I promise this is the last podcast you'll put on your playlist…for today.
