SiriusXM has announced several changes to its podcast leadership team. This includes the return of Sarah Van Mosel to the newly created role of Senior Vice President of Podcast Strategy, with a focus on acquiring new content and attracting new talent to the SiriusXM Podcast Network. Van Mosel will report to Greenstein in his new role. She previously served as chief revenue officer for the Stitcher subsidiary brand before its demise. Most recently, van Mosel served as Executive VP of iHeartMedia, where she oversaw the iHeart Audience Network (iAN). van Mosel served as Acast's chief commercial officer from 2015 until 2017. Prior to that, she spent two years as chief podcast sales and strategy officer at Market Enginuity, where she built podcast monetization engines for PRX, Radiotopia, The Moth, and TED Talks. On a daily basis, she oversees content acquisition and business development across her 13 public media stations in the top 10 U.S. markets. Previously, VanMauser spent five years in digital sales management at New York Public Radio.
SiriusXM also promoted Adam Sachs to senior vice president of podcast content. He has previously focused on comedy and entertainment programming for the company's podcast and satellite radio businesses.
“Adam is one of the brightest minds in podcast programming, with a keen ear for talent and an unparalleled understanding of what makes a good podcast great. “As we continue to hone our lineup, Adam will focus his energies on this area of leading podcast production and development,” Greenstein said in the memo. Mr. Sachs will report directly to Mr. van Mauser.
Sachs joins SiriusXM via Team Coco, where he previously served as president and chief operating officer of the podcast and media company founded by Conan O'Brien. What he got was SiriusXM in 2022.
