After the crazy first two months of 2024, we can now take time to quietly reflect on how we started this year and how we want to spend the rest of it.
Maybe your new year started exactly the way you imagined it, by going for a run every morning at 5 a.m. or by 9 p.m. with a cup of herbal tea and going to bed. Or maybe you got a late start and are still figuring out what goals and habits you want to accomplish (you're not alone!).
No matter how you're feeling, we recommend five podcasts that will help you feel more confident, self-aware, and ready for this year.

1. Self-obsession
My first recommendation is South Asian influencer Tum Kaur's podcast Self Obsessed. As her name suggests, Tam Kaur is dedicated to helping young women become the best versions of themselves and let their self-love and confidence shine through. Tam's podcast covers a variety of topics and ways to be your best self, from relationship advice to money management.
Each episode of the podcast is carefully crafted to teach listeners valuable information and life lessons. As a young woman, I feel it is essential to learn lessons such as detachment, self-confidence, and lucky girl syndrome from a young age so that I can carry these skills forward into critical periods in my life when building my career and relationships. I am.
I come back to the “Self-Obsessed” podcast again and again, and every time I walk away I feel better aware of my worth, brimming with confidence, and ready to love myself.
In addition to her podcast, Tam has two YouTube channels: Tam Kaur and Tam Kaur Vlogs. These videos will make you feel like you're on a FaceTime call with an older sister you've never met before. You can also see all of Tam's advice incorporated into her daily life on her Vlog channel. The “Self Obsessed” podcast is updated daily and available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

2. Anything goes
My next suggestion for a down-to-earth podcast with a humorous host is “Anything Goes” by Emma Chamberlain. This is my go-to podcast on rainy mornings when I don't have the energy to go for a long walk to the bus stop, and it always puts a smile on my face.
Anything goes on this podcast. Emma discusses a variety of topics in detail, from lifestyle advice, interviews, opinions, and even deep, mindful questions. Coming away from listening to this podcast, I feel like I've expanded my perspective on a subject or been able to look at topics from a different angle that I hadn't thought of before.
On social media, we see that certain trends don't necessarily make us feel good about ourselves. For example, the “that girl” trend is about how we all wake up at 5 a.m., do yoga, drink green juice, wear feminine clothes, get good grades, and do all of this in a positive state. We sought. This is completely unattainable. Emma discusses these topics and issues on her podcast, shows you morning routines you can relate to, and shows you that it's perfectly okay not to follow such trends, or that you can try them out and see if they work for you. Prove that you recognize that you aren't and adapt it to be your “that kid”. ”

3. For a better you
The next important podcast to help you change your mindset is from influencer Fernanda Ramirez's podcast “A Better You.” As the name suggests, Fernanda's podcast is dedicated to helping people become better versions of themselves than they were yesterday. We cover all topics from lifestyle to health and self-care.
My favorite podcast episode of “A Better You” is the “Glow Up Guide” video. As we discussed earlier, the “Glow Up” or “That Girl” trend can be very motivating for many people and lead to successful lifestyle changes. But this can also be harmful for young people who fixate on small waists, long hair, and clear skin to say they look good and glowing.
My favorite part of the podcast “A Better You” is the entire episode where Fernanda covers the in-house glow-up. Fernanda details the importance of glowing from within. This podcast changed my mind about the importance of shining mentally and spiritually. This podcast can be found on her YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.

4. @Lexi
The following podcast recommendation comes from Youtuber Lexie Lombard, who hosts the “@ Lexie” podcast. When I discovered this podcast, I was overwhelmed by her emotions, completely captivated by the serenity and sing-song grace of Lexi's voice, and could listen to her podcast for hours at a time. I remember.
From real life problems to late night dreams, Lexie podcasts make us feel connected to our inner child again. This podcast helped me change the way I think and view my emotions and how to deal with them. Lexi not only talks about the high points in her life that inspire her listeners, but she also talks about the everyday challenges that people encounter, especially those who struggle with anxiety, depression, and grief.
This podcast is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
5. The secret to glow-up
My final suggestion is “Glow Up Secrets” with host Elysia Goguen. As I mentioned earlier, I love podcasts that delve into how you can shine from the inside out. I discovered this podcast when I was stuck in a rut. Elysia's podcast helps you incorporate manifestation techniques, actionable lifestyles, and mindset changes into your life to become your best self and attract the best opportunities and people into your life. When you're walking to college or trying to find inspiration for your revision, this podcast will serve as your motivation. If you love self-development, this podcast will become your best friend.
