A new bluegrass podcast with a clever name is born out of Hamden, Connecticut. Got “grass”?
This podcast is hosted by Chris Wirth, who manages Guitar Town CT Concerts in Hamden, about 10 miles north of New Haven. Although there are many fans of bluegrass music in the area, there are not many supporting organizations, so his concerts are very popular.
A flatpicker himself, Chris has gotten to know many of bluegrass' top artists, and they're all very happy to interview him. Got “grass”? This format is interview-based, offering in-depth discussions with the players and personalities that make our music special. Guests talk about their backgrounds and how they came to recognize bluegrass music as something they wanted to pursue.
Worth started his podcast on February 19th and has since posted about an hour of interviews with Justin Moses, Doyle Lawson, Phil Rosenthal, Missy Raines, Bronwyn Keith-Hines and others. Next up is Rhonda Vincent, he said, with many other artists eager to participate.
Listeners can find Got “grass”? Spotify, Amazon, PodcastIndex, Buzzsprout, and wherever podcasts are streamed.
Chris hopes to complete and post one episode each week. So, listeners can visit the podcast site and choose the episode they want to listen to, or they can download it and read it later.
Chris Wuerth, welcome. Got “grass”?into the world of podcasting.
