Well, here we go again.
A weekend in which Juventus dropped points again. Then again on Monday, what exactly happened, what will happen to Juventus from here, and what will happen next after the disappointing 2-2 result against fellow top-four side Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium. Questions remain.
Many of the same problems seen in coach Max Allegri's side over the last seven games were always present, even though they only won once. And in the end, Juventus were unable to live up to AC Milan's victory just hours earlier, and although they sit third in the table now in March, things don't necessarily get any easier.
Within two months, the atmosphere had become much better.
now? Juventus is dropping points left and right, and the atmosphere is the exact opposite of when they will get out of this funk.
In episode 215 of The Old Lady Speaks podcast, we discuss:
- Lessons learned from Juventus' draw against Atalanta — how the defense continues to struggle, how it should be coach Max Allegri's greatest strength, and how Alec Milik is this team's biggest problem (translation: he's not a great player despite scoring goals), and another solid performance from Fabio Miletti.
- So what exactly happened to Atalanta?
- What exactly happened in the last seven games?
- There is also no particular reason why Juventus have struggled over the past month and a half. Basically, everyone has a responsibility, from the coach to the players.
- Questions on Twitter included questions about how things deteriorated so quickly and how Juventus can get out of this sudden mess.
