The Dallas Mavericks (38-28) will face the Oklahoma City Thunder (45-20) on Thursday night. The game starts at the awful time of 9 p.m., but that's because it's the second half of a doubleheader on TNT. Dallas will be without star guard Luka Doncic, who suffered some sort of hamstring injury Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors. Still, this game is sure to be an exciting one, as the Mavericks defeated the Thunder right after the trade deadline. Let's take a look at the important points.
- Who: Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors
- what: It takes 4 consecutive wins against OKC Thunder.
- where: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- when: 9:00 PM CST
- how:TNT
This is also a measuring stick game for Dallas. They haven't beaten a lot of great teams this year, but it would be great to win tonight without Luka on the second night of a back-to-back. My expectations aren't incredibly high, but there's a reason the Thunder have won so many games.
There was nothing on the site today. When there are back-to-back matches, I often leave the content for the match day until the night before. However, Mette contributed this great column about how Doncic will likely play as a winger. Read it. Of course, we also have a longer preview of the game that you'll want to read. We also have an odds post!
Thank you for your cooperation. I'll come back after the game is over. It's been a while since I've had a recap tonight, so let's see if I haven't written too much yet. There are also statistical posts. And a podcast. Let's see how this goes! Go Mavs.
