Unfortunately, Henry was traded to the Baltimore Ravens. He signed a two-year contract worth $16 million and will look to win a Super Bowl with the league's best run offense in recent seasons.
But as it turns out, Dallas wasn't really a candidate for Henry. Or even made an effort to sign the most coveted running back idea.
On Thursday, Henry revealed he didn't get a call from the Cowboys despite being interested. He lives in the area during the off-season and also trains there. However, he did not hear back from Dallas' front office.
“The Cowboys never called,” Henry said. “…I stay there in the offseason. I'm in the final stages of my career, but it's a great organization. It would have been a great opportunity, but I'm grateful to finally be here in Baltimore. ”

If they had called Henry and expressed interest, he would have instantly become the franchise's lead back. And perhaps drafting someone in April to give him credit would have solved the running back problem right away.
Sadly for Cowboys fans, there was no communication between the two sides.
“I think we have to make some difficult decisions right now,” Stephen Jones said Thursday. “This is an organization built on great backs, whether it's Tony Dorsett, Herschel Walker, Emmitt Smith. zeke elliott, Tony Pollard. We believed strongly in the Bucks. They bring a lot to the table.
“Unfortunately, we're at a point where we have to make some decisions in terms of where we allocate our funds…We feel there are some ways that we could deal with setbacks more efficiently. Let’s see how it works.”
Dallas was incredibly slow compared to other free agents. After owner Jerry Jones claimed the franchise would be “all in” for the 2024 season, they couldn't add talented players to the roster right away. At one point, they were the only NFL team with no outside additions.
Some of the fiscal allocations mentioned by Stephen Jones are: Eric Kendricks, someone in Dallas seems more confident in contributing than a free agent running back like Henry. Linebacker is certainly a position of need, but Dallas currently lacks a back on the roster who can receive significant carries.
