About the host:
Matt Pollard is the former editor-in-chief of Last Word on Soccer, current author, and engineer. When he's not watching football or working, the Colorado transplant enjoys skiing and hiking throughout the state. Although MLS didn't exist at the time, the LA Kings will always remain his first sports fan. Once called the Shakespeare of LWOS, he covers the LA Galaxy and his Colorado Rapids. Like the Galaxy, he too was handcrafted in LA.
Rachel Kriger is the senior editor of Last Word on Soccer. She is the lead writer for the Seattle Sounders, U.S. Women's National Team, and NWSL. Originally from Moscow, Russia, she lives in Ocala, Florida, where she serves as a youth pastor. Rachel is a big fan of her country's national team and she cried when Russia beat Spain in the round of 16 of the World Cup. However, Rachel has to admit that basketball was her first love and she still remains involved with the sport through coaching.
Daniel Sperry is the editor of Last Word on Soccer. He primarily covers Sporting KC and US Soccer on his LWOS and discusses San Francisco Giants baseball elsewhere. He was born and raised in Northern California, so he loves Bay Area teams. He currently lives in the KC suburbs with his wonderful wife and energetic pup. When he's not playing sports or writing, he loves good stouts and nature, whether it's hiking, camping, canoeing, birdwatching, or any activity involving all of the above.
Harvey Cruz is a staff writer at Last Word. He covers the New York Red Bulls. He was born in New Jersey, which has a pleasant climate. Taylor doesn't care if it's ham or pork roll because it's bacon, eggs and cheese for life. There's no comparison to heartbreak in the playoffs. But don't worry, you'll probably never see Harvey again. Individual.
