Devin Townsend teamed up with InsideOutMusic last year to relaunch The Devin Townsend Podcast in a completely new direction. Over the past few months, he's interviewed fellow musicians about their creative processes, speaking with the likes of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Tosin Abbasi (Animals as Leaders). In his sixth episode of the podcast, below, Townsend chats with Blind Boy.
Townsend: “Episode 6 features an artist called Blind Boy from Ireland who has created some of my favorite content over the last few years, including a lot from his band The Rubber Bandits. From his TV show to his podcast to his books, he's an amazing guy who's not afraid to explore the same kinds of things that I want to think about.
If you're wondering about the InsideOut band's ad on this podcast, consider the following: Touring is a common source of income for artists in this day and age. And in order to really dive into work and write without interruption for the past year or so, that's what I did. It was necessary to keep the ship afloat, and InsideOut has generously allowed us to do so by funding this podcast. Please understand that by allowing things like this to happen, they have done me a great service, so it means a lot to be able to help them in return. ”
