On Friday, two Dallas sports owners were listed in the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Miriam Adelson, the new owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has entered the top 50 as the world's 43rd richest billionaire with a total net worth of $35.5 billion. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones also ranked 171st with a total net worth of $12.6 billion.
Adelson, whose acquisition of the Dallas Mavericks was approved by the NBA in December, is the largest shareholder in Las Vegas Sands, considered one of the world's largest casino operators. Her net worth in 2024 has increased by $1.37 billion so far. She is the sixth richest woman in the world, according to the Bloomberg index.
Adelson's son-in-law, Patrick Dumont, replaced Mark Cuban as the Mavericks' new governor. Cuba also ranked 364th on the Bloomberg Index with a net worth of $7.29 billion.
