MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Go to Princeton. Next up is Iowa.
The WVU women's basketball team advanced in the NCAA Tournament after the Mountaineers' defensive identity flipped the script for Saturday's game against the Tigers. Mark Kellogg and staff will face top-seeded Iowa State and NCAA all-time leading scorer Caitlin Clark on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
But that wasn't the only thing that happened Saturday.
After pitching a no-hitter in less than 24 hours, Randy Maisey's WVU baseball team hit six home runs in Saturday's doubleheader against No. 17 Oklahoma. The Mountaineers may have swept the Twin Buildings and in the process erased any doubts about where this season was headed.
In Episode No. 91 of The Gold and Blue Nation Podcast, presented by Elite Roofing and Construction, hosts Ryan Decker and Kevin Redfern recap the Kellogg crew's win over Princeton and look ahead to Monday's matchup against Clark and Iowa.
