Former NFL star turned media personality Ryan Clark believes the Dallas Cowboys should look for a new signal-caller and has linked a top 2025 prospect to the team.
The 44-year-old former NFL defender revealed on the latest edition of “The Pivot” podcast that he thinks Dallas should target star college quarterback Shedule Sanders and move on from Dak Prescott.
Clark was joined by his usual hosts, former NFL stars Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder, to discuss the Cowboys' future.
He shared a video of the group discussing the situation on his social media accounts and captioned the post with a long, detailed message explaining the logic for the proposed action.
Clark said Prescott is scheduled to become a free agent after next season, which could allow Dallas to pursue Deion Sanders' son Shedure.
“@DeionSander has a short list of teams he would allow his son to play for, and the Cowboys are definitely at the top of that list,” Clark wrote.
“Dak could leave for big money in next year's free agency, with Shedule Sanders returning home to replace him and leading the U.S. team.”
“His father made part of his legend with the star on his helmet. Why not put it back? The Jones-Sanders legacy continues! Think about it. ”
Clark also presented his case in a podcast clip shared online, stressing that Dion has “the power to manipulate the draft” and that this move will help make Shedule a megastar.
He emphasized that Prescott is scheduled to sign a new contract and questioned whether the Cowboys would want to spend that money on a QB who “can't win a Super Bowl.”
