DALLAS — Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo has confirmed it will open two stores in North Texas malls.
Building records from earlier this year revealed Uniqlo's plans to bring stores to The Parks at Arlington Mall and Galleria Dallas Mall. The company confirmed that stores in these locations will open later this year, in the fall or winter.
Uniqlo also has stores at Memorial City Mall in Houston and First Colony Mall in Sugar Land.

The Uniqlo project was registered at The Parks at Arlington Mall in January and at Galleria Dallas Mall in February, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records.
Renovations will begin on the 12,490-square-foot space at the mall on June 1 and are expected to be completed by Dec. 30, according to the Arlington store listing. The project is expected to cost $1,900,362.
The scope of work listed in the registration application includes improvements to the existing retail space, new walls, finishes, fixtures and the addition of new restrooms.
The Galleria Dallas project, which was registered on February 6, will also take place in existing retail space within the mall. The 19,895-square-foot store renovation is estimated to cost approximately $4,129,811, according to the application. Construction work, similar to the Arlington addition, began May 20 and is expected to be completed by October 18.
UNIQLO has more than 2,400 stores around the world, including in Japan and China, where it was founded. The company brought his brand to the United States in 2005, opening a store in New Jersey. Uniqlo currently has more than 50 stores in the United States, and plans to open more than 20 new stores in North America in 2024.
