DALLAS — An arrest warrant has been issued for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Lachie Rice for his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash on US-75 in Dallas in late March, sources tell WFAA.
According to arrest warrants, Rice, 23, currently faces eight charges in the incident — six counts of crash with bodily injury, one count of crash with serious injury, and one count of aggravated assault. It becomes.

Royce West, who represents Mr. Rice as his attorney, said last week that Mr. Rice's client was driving the Lamborghini SUV involved in a multiple collision on the Central Expressway in Dallas on March 30. Rice leased the Corvette and was listed as renting a Lamborghini SUV from Classic Lifestyle in his name at the time of the accident.
It is not yet clear when Mr. Rice will be taken into custody. Officials told WFAA that Dallas police typically give suspects a chance to turn themselves in before dispatching officers to arrest them.
Dashcam footage of the incident obtained by WFAA shows three men getting out of a stopped Lamborghini SUV in the second lane from the right on the highway and then walking away.

Two of the victims of the accident were taken to the hospital. WFAA spoke with Tennessee Walker, an attorney who represents the couple who were killed in the crash. Walker told WFAA that the couple was “angry” and that her husband had to crawl out the back window following the collision. His wife was pulled from the driver's seat by paramedics.
“She had a very large laceration over her left eye. She had several stitches in the hospital and her eye socket was completely swollen and black and blue,” Walker said.
Rice, a native of North Richland Hills, was a standout receiver for four seasons at SMU before being selected in the second round by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 55th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He had 96 catches, 1,355 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior and was named a second-team AP All-American. He led the Mustangs in receiving in three of his four seasons at the Hilltop.

In a statement posted to Rice's Instagram on Wednesday, April 3, the wide receiver said he is cooperating with DPD's investigation into the accident.
