Mandy Moore has launched a podcast rewatching “This Is Us.”
The 40-year-old actress, who played Rebecca Pearson on the NBC family drama series, collaborated with Sterling K. Brown and Chris Sullivan to record “That Was Us.”
The trio said on Instagram: “I’m so excited to finally announce that the three of us (main) are taking back Tuesdays and bringing back #ThisIsUs through a rewatch podcast called #ThatWasUs starting May 14th!
“The Pearson family's story may have ended after six seasons, but ours continues. For six seasons and 106 episodes, Tuesdays were filled with tissues in one hand and wine from the pantry in the other. 'Because we see ourselves in the structure of the film', we cried at least once every episode. We may or may not have cried, but let's just say our tears served as emotional catharsis…
“Sibling rivalries, physical problems, marriages, divorces, adoptions, relationships, blended families, terminal illness, death, miscarriages, racism, and substance abuse all play a role here in our lives, just as they did in the Pearson family. It's in our backyard. What we want to do is really dig deep and analyze each episode, bring in special guests, have difficult conversations, and do some collective healing along the way?? Mandy appeared on This Is Us from 2016 to 2022 and previously admitted it would be “daunting” to leave the series.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I think all creative people are absolutely afraid of not working and feel like their last job is their last job. I've been thinking about it, but it's daunting.”
