Ryan Vasquez reflects on his career journey, from living with a French acrobat in a seven-bedroom house while doing shows and ultimately booking Hamilton. Playing so many characters in Hamilton was just “paid therapy” for him. Ryan, who turned down competing offers to star in Water for Elephants and The Outsiders and currently plays Middle Noah on The Notebook, explains why he chose to appear on the show. He said this because he believed in its influence and effectiveness. I personally hit him hard. He reflects on different aspects of the show, from different couples portraying different stages of Noah and Allie's relationship to witnessing audience members cry and experience deep emotions during performances. He also discussed the misconception that the show is purely about sadness, noting that it touches on a variety of emotions such as joy and self-actualization. Ryan also talks about his chemistry with his co-star Joy Woods and how fun they are together in real life. Aware that he is stepping into an iconic role, he revealed that he feels no pressure, but instead focuses on the importance of bringing his own personality to the character. After all, his “authenticity” and bringing his self to the world is what drives him.
Ryan Vasquez likely played multiple roles in an ensemble that included Philip Schuyler, Reynolds, Hercules Mulligan, James Madison, George Washington, the Marquis of Lafayette, Thomas Jefferson, Aaron Burr, and eventually the title role. Since he has played Hamilton, he will be able to recreate everything about Hamilton by himself. About Hamilton himself. He played the role of Fierro in “Wicked,'' and also appeared on Broadway in “Waitress.'' He can be seen on both the big and small screens in “The Good Fight,'' “Curve Your Enthusiasm,'' “Tick, Tick…Boom!,'' and “In the Heights.'' Masu. He can currently be seen as Middle Noah in the cast of “The Notebook” on Broadway.
