Dallas Cowboys 2023 Season Recap
The Cowboys went 12-5 and won the NFC East title in 2023, but suffered an embarrassing 48-32 loss to the Packers in the wild card round. This has been a trend in recent years for the Cowboys, who have struggled to make the playoffs and win important games. You have to go all the way back to 1996 to find the last time Dallas played in his NFC Championship game.
Dak Prescott threw 36 touchdown passes for over 4,500 yards, and Tony Pollard gained 1,005 yards with five touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb had a great year with 135 catches, 1,749 yards, and 12 touchdowns, ranking him first in scoring and fifth in total yards on offense.
The defense was also great in the regular season, ranking fifth in points and yards, led by Michael Parsons, who had 14 sacks. Cornerback Deron Brand had nine interceptions and an incredible five return touchdowns and was named an All-Pro.
The question remains for the Cowboys, when will they take the next step and return to the conference title game or reach the Super Bowl?
