Starting today, Dallas voters will have the opportunity to vote on a $1.25 billion bond program that we believe is an investment in our city's future. We carefully considered each of his 10 proposals that were put to a vote. We reviewed the project spreadsheet associated with each proposal. We asked city officials and leaders tough planning questions about the entire bond package, as well as specific questions about individual items within the proposal. Voters will be asked to say yes or no to each of the 10 proposals. Click on each link below to read our recommendations and the reasoning behind each suggestion.
Roads and Transportation Proposition A: $521.2 million.
The package primarily targets road resurfacing, bridge repairs, traffic light installation, and new sidewalk installations. Some of that money will be used for programs to make roads safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
Parks and Recreation Proposition B: $345.3 million.
The proposed loan would build and expand green space and recreational facilities across Dallas, including funding for future community facilities such as Southern Gateway Park in Oak Cliff.

The funding package will add and repair flood and storm infrastructure, such as culverts and pipes, throughout the city.

The money will go towards building two new libraries in Park Forest and North Oak Cliff, as well as various improvements to other libraries across the city.

A large portion of the proposed loan will be used to fund construction of a new police academy. It will also be used to build a new fire station just north of Love Field and maintain public safety facilities.

This item would funnel money to traditional economic incentives and affordable housing projects.
Housing and Neighborhood Infrastructure Proposition H: $26.4 million.
This funding will allow the city to build infrastructure on public land and support new housing development.
