Architectural Design surveyed the nation to find the most beautiful college campuses in the United States

According to the monthly magazine Architectural Digest, Texas is home to three of the most beautiful college campuses in America.

baylor university
Baylor University attracted attention for its Georgian-style buildings and structures found on campus.
According to its website, Baylor University is the oldest continuously operating university in Texas and was chartered by the Republic of Texas in 1845 through the efforts of Baptist pioneers. The campus spans approximately 1,000 acres and is located along the Brazos River.
rice university
Rice was noted for its California-inspired charm, thanks to the campus' Mediterranean Revival style.
Chartered in 1891, the 300-acre tree-lined campus is located approximately one mile from Houston's Museum District.
Southern Methodist University
Architectural Digest has added SMU to its list of architectural designs for the Rotunda-like Dallas Hall building at the University of Virginia. According to AD, Dallas Hall was SMU's first building.
SMU's main campus, known as Hilltop, is located on 234 acres in the heart of Dallas.
