The annual celebration of the Mexican army's victory at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 will be held on Sunday this year, but celebrations are starting early in some areas.

parade and celebration
go to historic jefferson boulevard Saturday, May 4th for the Dallas Cinco de Mayo Parade. The Big Parade begins at 9 a.m., followed by a mile-long festa featuring more than 200 of his stores offering Hispanic products, services, and more. In the evening, there will be music and performances on stage.
At noon on May 5th, Harwood Park For the Cinco de Mayo celebration in downtown Dallas. Happily Ever Sip & Shop will feature more than 35 local vendors until 5 p.m. There will also be outdoor lawn games and face painting.
Also on Sunday, The Village Dallas will host its Cinco de Mayo Fiesta de Musica from 4 to 9 p.m. Enjoy live music from her bands Grupo La Flor, A Tribute to Selena Quintanilla, and Voz Descalza, A Tribute to Shakira. La Mina will also have tacos, margaritas and an afterparty.

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo El Carlos Elegante is hosting a special brunch on May 5th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Menu highlights include steak and egg enchiladas, brisket omelets, French toast, ceviche campechana, hibiscus salad, and machete.
henry's majestic will be offering drink specials all weekend (May 4-5), including $10 frozen hibiscus palomas, $10 mangonadas, $5 boozy watermelon tagine pops, and $3 estrella. Local singer-songwriter Ryan Berg will also perform Saturday.
