Ezekiel Elliott isn't the only familiar face returning to the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas has added depth to its linebacker rotation in Damien Wilson, announcing the signing of the linebacker on Monday night. Wilson will return to the Cowboys on a one-year contract with the Veterans Payroll Benefits Plan, a person familiar with the matter said. Dallas Morning News.
Wilson was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft and spent the first four seasons of his NFL career in Dallas. He spent part of the 2023 season on Dallas' practice squad after separate stints with the Chiefs (2019-20), Jaguars (2021) and Panthers (2022).
Wilson did not play in a game for the Cowboys last season.
The linebacker joins the club with 419 total tackles in his career, along with nine sacks, nine pass deflections and one interception. Wilson and Eric Kendricks are two veterans Dallas added to the linebacker position this offseason.
