The Dallas Cowboys entered the 2024 NFL Draft with the following needs in mind: They selected Oklahoma Sooners offensive tackle Tyler Guyton with the 24th overall pick. Guyton, a Texas native, impressed at the University of Oklahoma, where he displayed outstanding blocking skills. What is most impressive about him is In his final year, he didn't allow a sack on 355 pass plays.
At just 21 years old and 6-foot-7 and 327 pounds, Guyton brings a physical presence on the field and has the versatility to play primarily at right tackle, but also has experience on the left side. Guyton further solidified his potential with an outstanding performance at the NFL Scouting Combine. His 40-yard dash time of 5.19 seconds and vertical jump of 34.5 inches ranked him fifth overall.

Guyton joins a storied lineage of successful first-round picks on the Cowboys' offensive line, including Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, Zach Martin and Tyler Smith.
