Ezekiel Elliott is returning to the Dallas Cowboys.
The former Ohio State University running back has agreed to a one-year contract with the Cowboys, returning to the team where he spent most of his NFL career.

The contract is worth $3 million, with $2 million guaranteed, according to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Selected by the Cowboys with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Elliott spent his first seven seasons in Dallas before playing one year with the New England Patriots. In his last seven years with the team, Elliott ran for 8,262 yards and scored 68 touchdowns. He led the NFL in rushing yards in both 2016 and 2018 and made the Pro Bowl in three of his first four seasons with the franchise.
Elliott was released by the Cowboys last offseason, four years into a six-year, $90 million contract. However, the Cowboys are in need of a veteran running back this season after losing Tony Pollard to the Tennessee Titans in free agency, and have opted to fill that void with a familiar face.
Elliott rushed for just 642 yards and three touchdowns on 184 runs last season, but this time he joined the Cowboys for an even lower price.
