It's all fun and feud until someone gets hurt. Rick Ross mocked his former collaborator Drake on social media last month. He went after the Toronto rapper's plastic surgery, attempts to imitate African-American culture, and his private jet. He claimed that Drake was given an old jet when he signed with Young Money, and warned him to be careful the next time he gets on a jet. The rapper's words clearly came back to bite him. Less than a month after clowning around on Drake's jet, Ross' private jet crash-landed in Dallas, Texas.
The exact cause of the crash has not been revealed. Photos from the landing were obtained by the X (formerly Twitter) account Keep6ixSolid. The photos show a jet plane with Ross' name embroidered on the side on a large lawn. The caption accompanying the photo mocked Ross's past as a CO, but confirms that he walked away from the landing field unharmed. “The former Miami government employee and current cosplayer walked away unharmed after the organization thwarted the plan,” it read. The news spread quickly on social media, with DJ Akademiks reposting and congratulating the rapper.

But the most notable response came from Drake. Rick Ross and Drake are about the opposite of two rappers you can think of right now. The latter called out the rapper's age on “Push Ups,” and Ross referred to Drake as a “white boy” throughout “Champagne Moments.” That being said, the Six Gods seemed happy to see their former accomplice land safely. He liked his KeepSixSolid post. Fans flocked to X to make fun of the incident and joke about Drake planning a crash landing. Ross also joined in on the fun, posting the caption, “Drake fighter jet shot us down!” on his IG story.
But as it turns out, the two rappers have known each other for over a decade. There was a time when Drake actually considered Rick Ross his favorite person to rap with. I look up to a lot of rappers,” he said during the It's All A Blur tour. “But there's one guy that I love the most to rap with on any song. His name is Rick Ross. That's my brother.” The tour will take place in 2023. I got it. A lot has happened since then, but it's a good time to remember the great music Drake and Ross gave their fans.
