Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks will be held Thursday night at Paycom Center. The Thunder currently lead the series 1-0 and are expected to have another exciting matchup between the youngest teams in the playoffs.
Lou Dort of the Thunder showed off his defensive talent by holding Mavericks star Luka Doncic to just 19 points in Dallas' 117-95 loss to Oklahoma City. Doncic, who suffered a right knee sprain, struggled to find his usual rhythm in Oklahoma City.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder's shining star, led the Thunder in scoring with an impressive performance of 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. His great performance contributed to the Thunder's five-game winning streak in the playoffs. It's an accomplishment that every Thunder fan should be proud of. In addition to Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren also played a key role in the victory, contributing to the team's overall performance with 19 points and 7 rebounds.

West Regional Semifinals: Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Predictions
Pickswise: Thunder wins Game 2
Filip Tomic writes: “The -21 recorded in Tuesday's game will likely be Doncic's worst +/- performance in this series. Still, Oklahoma City is far better than the Mavericks. Looks like a balanced team. Going home, Dallas' best chance to win this series is against OKC in Game 2.”
NBA.com: 7 Thunder
Michael C. Wright wrote: “Brace yourselves, because there are a lot of great games between Doncic and Irving. Pressure doesn't affect them. But the problem is, they won't do that for the entire series. It's about whether they can maintain their standard of play.'' They will have a tough fight against OKC, which finished the regular season in fourth place in the defensive rankings. Gilgeous-Alexander has been a consistent performer throughout the season, and the Thunder are deeper and healthier overall. ”
Oklahoman: 7 Thunder
Justin Martinez: “Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving are lethal on offense, and Dallas' defense has improved significantly since adding Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington at the trade deadline. It gives them an edge. At least Lou Dort would.” Life will be difficult for Doncic and Chet Holmgren will likely prevent him from finishing in the paint. ”
