Real estate agents aren't just there to help you buy or sell a home. They are friends, neighbors, and active participants in the community. That's why the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors recognizes real estate agents who go above and beyond with the Good Neighbor Award.
One of the recipients, Kirstin Johnson of Vista Encantada Realtors, is making a difference in her community through her work with the New Mexico Foundation Heart Gallery. The Heart Gallery is dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for foster children in New Mexico and empowering older adults who have fallen out of the system.
Johnson was adopted as a child and felt the need to help children from unstable home situations. In his role as a real estate agent, Johnson raises money for Hart to raise grants for his gallery. These grants will make a huge difference in the lives of New Mexicans, easing the pressure on purchasing basic necessities like apartment down payments, haircuts, and household supplies.
