Locally owned wing spot Bad Chicken opened its newest location near Lower Greenville on April 9th.
The duo, founded by owner Bobby Shuey and chef Tim Wohr, originally opened a test location in Preston Center in November 2022, but closed in February and moved to a flagship location at 5014 Ross Ave. opened. The new store replaced Back Home BBQ, which was struggling to maintain itself. It opened in 2015, but in a Facebook post he announced it would be permanently closing in 2019.
Shuey said he wants to be sure the brand is successful before committing to future growth plans.
Marinated with a new look, the space measures 2,800 square feet and features a patio, arcade and drive-thru.

The restaurant currently offers beer, wine, and cocktails ranging from Frozen Jack and Coke to its own take on the Old Fashioned.
Shuey's vision for the new location, and Bad Chicken as a whole, is a place for friends and family as well, one that is “not only a quick and easy option, but also a neighborhood favorite with homemade items and great care for the menu.” It's also a restaurant.''
Bad Chicken near Lower Greenville has indoor seating for 44 and patio seating for 40. Bad Chicken will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m.
