The Dallas Stars advance to the Western Conference Finals. And it wasn’t easy.
After two overtime periods and overcoming a controversial no-goal call, Dallas finally scored the winning goal and defeated the pesky Colorado Avalanche once and for all.

Finals: 2 Stars, 1 Avalanche (2OT)
The Dallas Stars have advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the second year in a row. Matt Duchene, who was the subject of a goal that was called off in the first overtime, scored. formal They won with just over eight minutes left in the second overtime.
Dallas wins the series 4-2.
Second overtime, 9:19 left: I will go back and forth. Both teams had chances in the second overtime, but the two teams were clearly depleted of energy and were fighting for goals. According to the broadcast, Stars players are performing 25-second shifts.

At one point, the Stars appeared to have a series-ending goal by Mason Marchment in overtime, but the referees called it a no-goal and called Matt Duchene for goaltender interference. The call was held after replay review. There is no goal.
Overtime, 11:00 left: Dallas had chances early in the extra period but couldn’t capitalize on them so far. At one point, the Stars were in Colorado’s half for nearly two full minutes but couldn’t score.

In perhaps the Stars’ most intense third period all season, Dallas got the tying goal from Jamie Benn before the defense and goalie took over again.
3rd hour, 3:00 remaining: Stressful playoff hockey. Game 6 remained tied until the end of the third inning.
3rd period, 9:40 left: The intensity is ratcheting up as the Abs compete for the season and Dallas looks to shut out Colorado. Jason Robertson with a block that could save the goal.
3rd period, 18:00 left: Stars are on the board.
Captain Jamie Benn scored to tie the game at one point, followed by a beautiful pass from Evgeni Dadonov.
End of 2nd period: Avalanche 1, Stars 0
The Stars went scoreless for 40 minutes. Unless they can find a way to beat Colorado goaltender Alexander Georgiev, this series will come back to Dallas.
2nd period, 6:30 left: The Stars had some good chances, but were unable to tie the game on the power play.
2nd period, 8:59 left: Dallas set up a power play looking for a chance to gain momentum. This is the first man advantage of the game.
2nd hour, 14:00 remaining: For the first time in the series, the Avalanche strikes first.
Jake Oettinger made a great second stop, but couldn’t make the third. Mikko Rantanen scored from close range to give Colorado a 1-0 lead.
End of first period: 0 stars, 0 avalanches
For the first time in the series, the teams were scoreless after 20 minutes, and a great save by Jake Oettinger in the final seconds of the game kept the game scoreless.
6:30 left in the first period: Star is on the brink, but Alexander Georgiev plays a big role. Dallas hasn’t allowed an Avalanche shot on goal in over 10 minutes of play.
1st hour, 7:00 remaining: Game 6 got off to a bit of a shaky start, with multiple whistles, stops and starts. Both teams were looking to stabilize their attacks, with only seven shots on goal in the first eight minutes of the game.
