According to the Dallas Observer, Clearview AI’s facial recognition technology could be used to solve crimes in Dallas.

The DO article notes that privacy concerns and other questions have been raised about Clearview AI’s technology, which is widely adopted by law enforcement agencies across the United States. Both Chief Garcia and Chief Williams emphasized that they are aware of these concerns.
According to the DO, Garcia told the committee that he would like to “take the time to look at what’s really going on and how we can improve our policies and things of that nature when it comes to facial recognition.” I’m glad I was able to do it,” he said.
