The Northwest Wisconsin Association of Realtors released new statistics comparing home sales in Eau Claire County for the first four months of 2023 and 2024. According to the data, the median home price has increased by $25,000 over last year and is now $301,000. This is $16,000 higher than the state average. Although prices have increased, home sales are up 10% compared to last year, and more homes are being purchased. Association President Todd Schwartz said the data shows that while home values are rising, more people are wanting to live in Eau Claire. “You might be surprised at how much your home is worth,” Schwartz said. “So if you want to know how much it’s worth, reach out to your real estate agent or someone you’ve worked with before to help you understand how much your home is worth. You’ll probably be pleasantly surprised. It might be worth changing.” Schwartz said many first-time buyers are successfully qualifying to buy a home. He added that April sees the most home bids, which taper off as the summer months begin.

“I think you’ll be surprised at how much your home is worth,” Schwartz says, “so if you want to know how much it’s worth, reach out to your real estate agent or someone you’ve worked with in the past to find out what your home is worth, and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It might be worth making a change.”
Schwartz said many first-time buyers are successfully qualifying to purchase homes, adding that bids on homes are strongest in April and taper off as the summer months begin.
